Building with Color in 2019!

Keeping it fresh! Building with color in mind!

"Just as coral reefs are a source of sustenance and shelter to sea life, vibrant yet mellow, Pantone 16-1546, Living Coral embraces us with warmth and nourishment. It provides comfort and buoyancy in our continually shifting environment," Pantone announced Wednesday.

The Pantone color institute has declared LIVING CORAL as the "IT color" of 2019! This color is said to represent the lively fusion of modern life. Therefore, you'll be seeing a lot of it in the coming year.

Building with color

"Living Coral" is a nurturing tone, with a vibrant fresh face! It is meant to conjure up the excitement one can find in nature, play and travel. Perhaps it will bring the fun of a Caribbean vacation to mind. This hue is versatile. It can be lively and playful or  grounding as it hails from the pigments of nature.

If you're not crazy about painting an accent wall with this shade let alone a whole room, consider using it as a lively pop of color. Try it in pillows, a casual throw or peppered through paintings or pottery. You might also consider wall papering with a pattern that includes "living coral" as an undertone or a repeated fleck of color throughout the pattern.

The right hue for you -

Color is such an important part of any interior design plan. You're probably already aware that the palate of a room can make a huge visual impact. Take for instance - light colors causing a room to appear larger. Similarly, the opposite is also true. Dark shades and tones can cause a room to appear smaller. It should be noted that the colors and hues of a room can be used to set an emotional tone too. Brighter colors such as yellow can give a room a "cheerful feeling." If you aren't comfortable with decorating with color, consult with a decorator. Because they're trained professionals, they're fantastic at getting the right intensity of a pallet to suit your style.

Because color can have such an impact on our lives, we recommend decorating with shades and tones you like. The latest pallets are great, as long as they work for you.
